Rontronik (Ron Croudy) is a New York-based music producer, DJ/controllerist, and co-founder of the boutique creative studio Smartbomb. An audio chameleon when it comes to DJing, he’s known for his open-format sets and 20+ years behind the decks, earning him a reputation as a “DJ’s DJ.” His genre-defying podcast Radio Rontronik and weekly Futurecurrent sets on Deep Space Radio reflect his evolving sonic palette.

His journey began in 1999 with early experimental releases under the aliases technique:concrete and Cardboardmen on the groundbreaking Töshöklabs Presents: Dated compilation. He continued to shape his unique sound with the 2007 debut solo EP Magma, blending hypnotic rhythms, ambient textures, and leftfield electronics. Influenced by artists like Autechre, Laraaji, and Global Communication, Rontronik continues to explore new territories through digital releases, remixes, and collaborations.

Outside the booth and studio, Rontronik brings his creative vision to design and branding, having worked with icons like Ghostface Killah, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, Run The Jewels, and Usher.
